Our future – electric vehicles

The biggest presentation of electric cars in Estonia! The Green Growth festival Rohevik culminates in the grand environmental family event ‘Our Future – Electric Vehicles’ held on Vabaduse väljak / Liberty Square in Tallinn from 12 to 5 pm on 17 September.

The number of people moving to the suburbs has been increasing for many years, which increases the traffic and pollution load of the city as well as rural areas. Urbanisation is also continuing at the same time – approximately 80 percent of all energy in the world is consumed in cities.

The goal of the organisers of Rohevik is to make people think about their everyday traffic habits and needs:

  • Do we choose the most efficient vehicle?
  • How do our traffic choices influence our living environment?
  • What is the average distance we cover in a day?
  • How can we reduce the pollution and noise caused by transport?
  • Is changing one’s traffic habits difficult?

Electric cars are the main attraction of the event. Estonia supports people who buy electric cars and is building the necessary infrastructure, so come and see what electric cars are available! In addition to cars, the organisers have brought many other electric vehicles to the event, such as vans, buses, etc.

Come and take a look, and test some stereotypes and myths!

Other things to see and hear at the family event ‘Our Future – Electric Vehicles’ on 17 September on Vabaduse väljak:

  • Electrically charged competitions and games for children
  • Demonstration of how to charge electric cars
  • Introduction of the EU Environment Policy
  • KredEx talks about the support for people who buy electric cars
  • Science theatre of electricity
  • Options of using renewable energy at home
  • And much more!
